Our Services

Specialist pump services for residential, strata and property manager clients across Sydney.

Why Choose Sewer Pump Services

Sewer and stormwater pumps, every day — with a Sydney plumbing trade going back to 1985 behind it.

🎯

Specialist Pump Focus

Our focus is sewer and stormwater pumps — day in, day out. That depth means faster diagnosis, better installs and fewer callbacks.

🏗️

The Right Pit For The Job

Custom fibreglass pits with gas-tight lids on every new sewer pit install — manufactured to our own wall-thickness standard that lasts decades, not the off-the-shelf thin-walled type that cracks within years.

🔌

End-to-End, In-House

Plumbing, pump-side electrical and digging — handled in-house. You're not coordinating separate trades. One contractor, one quote, one timeline.

📦

Stock On Hand

We carry pumps, floats, non-return valves and common parts on the van. Most repairs and replacements are completed in a single visit — no waiting for parts.

🧹

We Leave It As We Found It

Access covers re-hidden, gravel replaced, site left clean. We work in residential streets and respect that — your neighbours won't know we were there.

📍

Sutherland Shire Based

Based in the Sutherland Shire. Fast response across the Sutherland Shire and Northern Beaches, with deep local knowledge of Sydney's below-street drainage and sewer mains.

On the tools

Hands-on, every job.

No subcontractors, no apprentices left to figure it out, no "we'll send someone." When you book us, you get the pump specialist on site — diagnosing, fitting, testing. Sydney homes have trusted this business since 1985 because we turn up and do the work ourselves.

The credentials behind the work

Specialist work means licensed work, documented work, and work that meets the standards Sydney is built to.

📋

NSW Plumbing Licence 456767C

Sewer Pump Services operates under a current NSW plumbing contractor licence — licensed plumbing and drainage work, on record.

📐

AS/NZS 3500 standards

Plumbing and drainage work is carried out to the AS/NZS 3500 standard family — the benchmark for compliant work across Sydney.

🔌

Restricted Electrical Licence — Motors

Issued by NSW Fair Trading under the disconnect/reconnect framework (UEERL0004). We connect the pump and alarm, set up the control panel and fit the overload protection ourselves; your electrician runs the supply.

🛡️

Confined Space Entry certified

Statement of Attainment from Pinnacle Safety and Training (RTO 40496). Deep pits and confined spaces are part of the trade — most residential pits never need it, but when one does, we're set up for it.

☂️

Fully insured

Public liability and workers compensation cover in place across all work, with certificates of currency available on request.

🏠

Specialist focus since 1985

A plumbing trade since 1985, focused on sewer and stormwater pumps since 2010 — the work we do day in, day out, not a sideline. You deal with the same operators from first call through to commissioning.

Common Questions

Straight answers about sewer and stormwater pumps.

Why is my sewer pump alarm beeping?

A beeping alarm usually means the pump isn't keeping up with inflow — either the pump has failed, the float switch is stuck, or there's a blockage. Don't ignore it. Call us and we'll diagnose it same day in most cases.

How often should my pump be serviced?

12 months for residential sewer pumps, 6 months for stormwater pumps. Stormwater systems get more frequent servicing because the consequences of failure are higher — basement flooding, strata complex water damage, multiple unit owners affected. Regular servicing catches issues before they become failures.

How long does a sewer pump last?

A correctly sized, properly installed residential pump typically lasts 6–8 years before earth leakage or wear becomes a real problem. Quality pumps in well-maintained systems can run longer, but plan for replacement around the 6–8 year mark. The brand of pump and quality of the original installation both make a significant difference.

Do you work on all pump brands?

Yes — we service and repair most major brands including Davey, Liberty, DAB, Grundfos, Mono, Flygt, Bianco and Zenit. We carry parts for the most common models, so most repairs and replacements are completed in a single visit.

Who do you typically work with?

Homeowners, strata managers, property managers, and builders across Sydney. Most of our work is residential — installations, replacements, repairs and servicing for individual properties. We also have long-running relationships with strata managers and owners corporations across the Sutherland Shire, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Lower North Shore, and we partner with builders on new sewer and stormwater pump installs from the plans stage onwards.

Are you fully licensed and insured?

Yes. NSW Plumbing Licence 456767C, Restricted Electrical Licence (Motors) under the disconnect/reconnect framework, Confined Space Entry certification, and full public liability insurance. The business trades as Sewer Pump Services under Pro Plumbing & Pumps Pty Ltd (ACN 671 815 777). Every job we sign off complies with NSW Plumbing and Drainage Act requirements and AS/NZS 3500 standards.

Do you give written quotes?

Yes. For installation and replacement we quote after seeing the site. For repairs and servicing we run per-visit pricing — no subscriptions, no auto-renewals — and we'll be straight with you on the phone about likely scope before we book anything in.

What areas do you service?

We're based in the Sutherland Shire and cover all suburbs including Cronulla, Caringbah, Miranda, Sutherland, Bundeena, Woolooware, Kangaroo Point, Burraneer, Lilli Pilli, Yowie Bay and surrounds. We also service the Northern Beaches (Manly, Mosman, Dee Why, Whale Beach, Palm Beach), Lower North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and greater Sydney.
